A new partnership between Georges River Council, South Eastern Sydney Local Health District Health Promotion Service (SESLHD HPS) and Calvary Health Care Kogarah - the Doing It Differently Grants Initiative.
Grants of up to $10,000 are being offered to community members and local community groups in the Georges River area.
Doing it Differently uses a simple and collaborative application process and aims to build on the existing strengths of communities using an Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach. This new initiative aims to promote health and wellbeing, create well-connected communities and reduce the risk of loneliness and social isolation.
Grants open for applications on Monday 5 August 2019
Grants close midnight Sunday 15 September 2019
